Bike Commuting

IMG_20130308_152755I am incredibly fortunate to work for a company that has shower facilities available for me to use.  Without them, there’s no way I could make bike commuting work for me down here in Texas.  For the sake of those around me, I need to shower before I start my work day!

While I generally refer to my commute as a bike commute, it’s really a multi-modal commute.  I bike to the nearest train station (10 miles from my house), and then take the train into work.  It doesn’t always work from a logistics standpoint for me to bike every single day, but I do bike the majority of the time.

I’ve learned a few things along the way, and these posts will reflect some of those lessons.  I’ll add to this list as time/motivation comes.

Have Something To Say?

Questionably Texan:

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but somehow I've managed to end up living in Dallas, Texas. I don't fit any of the typical Texan stereotypes - I'm vegan, I bike to work, and I run ultramarathons. But I do have a Texas drivers license, so that makes me Texan now, eh?
